Elfin Kitchens’ compact kitchen range has enabled Spalding-based storage solutions company, Stamp Storage, to improve and expand its portable and modular buildings offer, bringing financial benefits to both the business and its customers.
As well as offering self-storage options for customers, Stamp Storage supplies high quality new and used portable and modular buildings to a wide range of industry sectors. As such, Elfin’s small kitchens were introduced into the units for the portable and modular building side of the business. These units will then be used as temporary offices or as staff welfare units on construction sites.
Although installing kitchens in a Stamp Portable Building is something the company has been doing for a while, the kitchens were sourced previously from a traditional trade kitchen manufacturer and supplier. Each one was specified, built manually and installed to meet the client’s individual requirements, which proved to be both time consuming and costly.
Saving time and money
Whilst researching alternative kitchen options, Stamp Storage’s managing director Steve Stamp discovered Elfin. Delivered as a complete unit, ready with an appropriate waste kit, the kitchen units are ideal for use in portable building and site cabin situations. They are simply plumbed into the service pipe supply and connected to an electricity source, making the installation process incredibly quick and simple. And they are just as easy to decommission.
High quality, good value compact kitchens
Although portable, the construction specification of the units is high, both externally and internally. The quality, look and durability of the kitchens are key.
However with cost also being of paramount importance, the Elfin Economy range is used as the basic unit. Strong and durable with a white powder coated steel carcass and preformed door furniture, the units require very little upkeep and will last for many years to come.
Available in a range of sizes, 900mm, 1000mm, 1200mm and 1500mm, Elfin can also supply a range of additions including extra cupboard or shelf storage, splashback and appliance options depending on the use of the kitchen. The Economy range, although good value, still offers quality kitchen appliances that can be tailored to the client’s specific requirements.
Explaining the key benefits of Elfin’s kitchens, Stamp Storage’s managing director, Steve Stamp said: “Elfin’s compact kitchens give us great flexibility. For starters we can meet client requirements with add-on accessories easily and more importantly, quickly. Elfin’s products are always in-stock, which means we can fulfil client demands fast.
“Secondly, the kitchens don’t require manual labour to put together, they come as a unit and can literally be plugged in, which saves cost for both us and the client.”
He goes on to explain one of the biggest benefits to the business: “We hire out many of our portable buildings. So, when it comes to the end of the hire period, the portable buildings are returned and we are able to take out the kitchen easily and re-use it elsewhere where necessary, which saves an enormous amount of waste.”
To date, Stamp Storage has supplied seven portable buildings featuring Elfin’s kitchens, but Steve has high hopes for expansion: “We are looking to expand this service next year. Clients just love to be able to tell us exactly what they want and we’re happy to be able to achieve results for them in a short time frame.”Back
